BASIC EXHIBITION

the gallery of revolution

This gallery is composed of five themes: the fighting of the pioneers, victories of the revolutionists, the Red Zone, the major battles in the anti-encirclement and suppression campaign and major heroes.

After the Opium War in 1840, China was forced into many unequal treaties, and became a colonied fuel society. The oil painting here describes the poor and miserable situations of the time in Fuzhou. Many passionate young people joined in the anti-imperialist movement. After the birth of the Chinese Communist Party on June 1st, 1921, many unions and associations were founded to organize people to involve in the revolution, in which many talents scarified their lives.

There are numerous martyrs fighting for the well-being and freedom of Fuzhou and our country. They wrote a heroic chapter in the history of Fuzhou and left us precious material and spiritual heritages.
