万魁塔

万魁塔位于抚州市临川区展坪乡石港村东抚河西岸。明万历三十八年由抚州知府朱如容倡建。清道光二十三年耗银三百万两、历时4月零8天进行重修。据《临川县志》道光版载:“此塔落成以后,临川历代理学忠烈之士,班班辈出,不可胜数,位官中外,显秩者,踵相接也,科名之盛,礼围之捷,一岁中恒数十人,抚州以是称名海内。”故称之为“万魁塔”。万魁塔共七层,高42米,围长31.8米,塔基高2.1米,砖石结构,是抚州市现存最大的古塔。

Wankui Pagoda is located on the west bank of Dongfu River in Shigang Village of Zhanping, Linchuan District, Fuzhou. In the 38th year of Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, its construction was initiated by Zhu Rurong, the prefect of Fuzhou. In the 23rd year of Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, it cost three million taels of silver and 4 months and 8 days to rebuild. According to the Daoguang edition of Chronicles of Linchuan, after the completion of this pagoda, talents came out in large numbers, holding administrative positions around the country. People of high prestige and noble character were too numerous to count, making Fuzhou a famous place, and the pagoda was then known as the "Wankui Pagoda". Being a masonry structure, Wankui Pagoda is 42 meters high and 31.8 meters long with seven floors and a 2.1-meter high base. It is the largest existing ancient pagoda in Fuzhou.
